Dave was a beloved uncle, brother, and friend. He was a kind and friendly gentleman. 'BBC Dave' also excelled in his work, with comments from his former colleagues including 'a genuine pioneer in the field', 'privilege to work with', 'hugely respected', and 'A true innovator and a gentle soul'. He will be deeply missed by many people, friends, family, former colleagues and all who knew him.
Dave's family would like to thank everyone for their condolences, tributes and messages of support. We have now been able to arrange Dave's funeral which will be held at 12.00pm on Tuesday 3rd December at Mortlake Crematorium. Afterwards, his family invite you to attend a celebration of Dave's life at The Duck & Ball to share memories and personal stories about him. If you are able to attend it would be helpful (although not required) for estimated attendance and catering if you can RSVP.
